OUR VISION FOR THE SHETLAND ISLANDS
We have a vision of a greener, fairer Shetland Islands where:
Homes and businesses are powered by greener energy and no-one lives in fuel poverty
Growing and transporting our food doesn't harm the planet, and our islands have food security
Active travel and public transport options allow us to move around easily and without damaging the environment

GREEN ACHIEVEMENTS
Ariane Burgess, Scottish Greens MSP for the Highlands and Islands.
Greens in Government have won Green policies and investments that not only will happen but are already happening, such as free bus travel for the Under 22’s.
If we can achieve life-changing policies with 7 MSPs at Holyrood, think what more we could do at a local level!
Green councillors in Shetland will work to make sure policies are delivered locally where needed most.
We will work with all councillors for people and the planet, putting people before party politics.
